leaving on a plain jet I have 3 hours to dry my shoes which were ruined by the morning rain. Then I'll have to lug 2 large suitcases, 2 boxes and 2 lightstand cases down to the cab stand. And off to changi airport for my flight to thailand. I'm pretty excited for this trip as it's my last official job as a photographer and it's a huge job. Along for the trip is my trusty assistant and 2 makeup artists. Nicky will be hooking up with me at the airport over there as he flies in from vietnam. 3 and a half days of corporate shoots and then a night of fun. Followed by a 3-day trip to Cambodia. Back to bangkok then back to SG. The past few days saw n me running around, buying equipment, spares this and that, backdrops, more equipment etc etc. And I've prolly overspent my initial equipment budget. But who cares, for now, I'm sooo looking forward to doing a good job for them. And this time, for my Cambodia trip, I'm back to shooting film. -which means, back to packing the rolls and handchecking at the airport, - different lenses, 2 camera bodies, light meter, more film... Someone said to me that I should go back to film as it was my first love. Does that work in real relationship love? Hmmm.. Well, the new Canon D5 has functions that make pictures look like the real film thing. Will be back on the 14th (the same afternoon as my contract signing). Wish me luck! |
