Zoo shoot on wednesday... for female magazine.. i mean... a fashion spread on what you wear to the zoo??? And most of the clothes are you prada, ysl, LV, etc... the models look like animals themselves.. haha~~ one was a brazilian, the other one was a slovakian. Damn hot day tho!
Another shoot at Tanah Merah on fri, this time for Seventeen. The model's another Slovakian... very pro..very natural. Another fashion spread.. but this time it's just spring collection.. very nice. Damn hot day .. this time was worse... esp this tanah merah place. It's the second time i'm doing a shoot at that area.. the other was 3 yrs ago for Urban and Co.. and it was equally blazin hot. Day ended early at around 2, and i was off back to my shop. Not before stopping by east coast for a really nice lunch at this cafe there. Very nice steak potato chips...
Went jamming with nicky and johan.. and 2 of nicky's friends.. Boy was the drummer .. 'not there'. Bloody irritating.. Trashing his drums while we were trying to tune our guitars or trying to figuring a song.. oh well... ended in the evening.. then went down town, coz nicky invited me fer dinner. Almost got into a little phone tussle with mel coz of a dinner appointment that i didn't honour. me bad..
Went to Alley Bar with Johan and we had about 5 pints of Hoegarden. Along with his frien, Dawn and another guy. Afterwhich was joined by Cyndi and Kim,.. Met Cyndi while i wa interning at the radio station.. A pretty nice chat. We went up to rouge after that and was sloushed with lot of drink. Mel came soon after and we were all almost trashed. Got back home at about 3 in the morning and slept till late the next day.
We had a late afternoon of fried rice, and then some prawn paste chicken...watched Someone like you that was playing on teevee - a little painful for us to watch actually. Johan called me to watch a 1am show..Assualt on Precint13. Stupid, lousy show. please dun watch it.
Slept in again today (sunday).. woke up late, had a sandwhich, then went out for dinner at sakae sushi. Was at Isetan looking at some golf putters.. coz they were having a sale now. I did a rough calculation on how much would a set of clubs cost me.. It turned out to be around...4K.. oooh yeah... that's a terrible amount to be paying. I'd rather buy my 2 lenses for my hassleblad... speaking of which, i finally found Polariod 665. Pete gave me a pack of it. i'll be trying it out soon hopefully.. It's an amzing film that i read soooo much about. Hope the quality is as good.
I'm now in my shop, i just finished painting the external wall. Tomolo's gonna be a busy day again... !

Am going to have a pretti busy week i guess. Got a Pete Lau assignment tomolo for a whole day. It's been almost 4 months since we've contacted and it's really nice hearing from him this morning. Getting my cupboards tomolo too, but spence is doing it for me. Also going with Mel to Samuel's Pipa hybrid concert at the esplanade tomolo night too, . Rest of the week is moving enlargers in. Seems like a long week ahead to prepare for the opening.
Val, Jo and Co came over last nite for a farewell.. fer one of their Brazillian friend called Bruno. It was a pretty small party, KFCs, with wines. pretty fun bunch they are. Carrie and Nicky called in after the party, and we had some good catch up. The main highlights was of coz Johan's oven-baked mushrooms with sasauges and cheese. yummm. It was a pretty cosy event that ended just before midnite...had some desert from lavender food court and that pretty much ended with the nite.
Prior to last nite, we had a pretty good time at chomp chomps having dinner and karaoke with nicky,norman,sel,gracia. How small the group seem to become, and smaller it'll become. Sometimes i wonder if i cater my life according to others. Oh well. fu*k it.

Anyway i'm going home now.

I'm in my shop now, it's 5am and i just finish sorting out a set of wedding photos that i took 2 weeks ago. And i owe them the prints. Tommorrow is going to be a busy day, a trip to the carpenters, then to send in the cds for printing, send a package to Dublin to a couple that i took wedding pictures in dec... and then other stuffs to do at the shop.
I was just at alywin's place earlier at night, delivering my prawn paste chicken that i promised. I don't even know if anyone ate them. Or rather if anyone cared. Oh whatever, i guess i've done my part as a friend, in the ways that i think should be right. And if they can't accept me for who i am, then forget it. Alywin, if you're reading this, all the best for your trip to australia. I really do wished i was there at your dinner, but as you know circumstances - like what you said - doesn't permit it to happen. It's okie really. You've been really nice and understanding all this while; and i totally appreciate all that you've done. Mel too thinks that you're such the nice guy, and we both thank you for sticking around for us. Anyway, my deepest thanks to you, my friend, and i'll always be sticking ard for you too.
Sel, thanks for coming out to say hi to us, it meant something to me and mel. It's a pleasure having you as a friend who sees the both sides of a coin before deciding. Thanks for extending your invitation to stay a while longer. And thanks for coming down to my shop that day, when i wasn't there. It was busy, and i was held up somewhere else. Appreciate it fully.
It's been a tiring few days since i got back from thailand. But it's getting better. I'm re-building my darkroom and things are moving as planned.
I was at adrian's place last nite fer dinner. Things were not surprisingly awkward; there was your fair share of absolutely childish behaviour, and your nice people. In anycase, i've tried, and i guess i haven't done anything wrong. If all the narrow heads are remaining narrow, then let them be. I figured it's not worth being hurt, by the stupid actions of others. If i'm not respected as a friend, then forget pretending and being PR about it. Let me know, sort it out if neccessary and move on - as simple as that. I think ultimately, it takes courage to be honest, and cowardace to put a false mask on. It's simple stupid.
Thanks to adrian and his parents for hosting the wonderful dinner, and letting us have a smashin good time with the x-box.
